The conference was focused on the advancement of sustainability goals in the tourism industry. Innovative minds were invited to share ideas and solutions from all over the world for inspiring future changes. All presentations are available for free download here – along with visual impressions from an engaging conference, where participants not only from Europe but also from the Global Ecotourism Network shared experience and directions to better tourism practices, all in the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The hashtag #EuroEco18 leads to a large number of social media reflections.

The Georgian Ecotourism Association rounded the event off by introducing basic rules to reduce the footprint of this international conference. The organisers´ simple implementation steps on how to make such events greener in the future will be published in December.

Apart from working through the high quality agenda with parallel workshops, presentations, and enjoying field experience opportunities during and post-conference, the participants committed to supporting the development of the European Ecotourism Network.
